Shanghai Galileo Industries ltd (SGI), under the direct administration and attention of Shanghai Municipal Government, was invested by five shareholders including Shanghai Venture Capital CO.,LTD, Shanghai Engineer Center For Microsatellites, China Aviation Radio Research Co., Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences. SGI has been the only Shanghai delegate in the Sino-Europe Galileo Program, which is the biggest international science and technology cooperation scheme in its scope, cost and impact since 1949, when New China was established.

Focused on satellite navigation and positioning technology (mainly satellite navigation system ground segment construction and operation, receiver and chipset development, etc), SGI has also paid attention to Space Information Engineering, Wireless Communication, Computer Networking technologies and relevant applications, based on which services, products and applications provision system will be constructed and operated.
