Google, which wants to be as central to the coming wireless Web as it is on today's PC-dominated Internet, announced on Nov. 5th that it was leading a broad industry effort to develop new software technologies aimed at turning cell phones into powerful mobile computers. The group, called the Open Handset Alliance, expects to start selling the Google-powered phones in the second half of next year. Basically, they've committed to develop applications for Android and committed to making it successful. The 33 major technology companies as mentioned above are as follows: Aplix、Ascender Corporation、Audience、Broadcom、China Mobile、eBay、Esmertec、HTC、Intel、KDDI、Living Image、LG、Marvell、Motorola、NMS Communications、Noser、NTT DoCoMo、Nuance、Nvidia、PacketVideo、Qualcomm、Samsung、SiRF、SkyPop、SONiVOX、Sprint Nextel、Synaptics、TAT - The Astonishing Tribe、Telecom Italia、Telefónica、Texas Instruments、T-Mobile、Wind River.
