| State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping: Strengthen Digital Navigation Map Management, Standardize Digital Navigation Map Market Order |

To further strengthen the management of digital navigation maps and standardize the order of digital navigation map market, the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping releases a notice about digital navigation map management regulations to qualified map providers and publishing houses, according to Surveying and Mapping Law of the People’s Republic of China. As specified in the notice, only companies or organizations that have the qualification of digital navigation map surveying and mapping can collect data in terms of digital navigation maps; no one is allowed to collect any unauthorized information in any means. The notice also requires that digital navigation maps published, exhibited, or used in public areas must be submitted to the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping for examination and are prohibited to disclosing state secrets or other no-spreading information in any form, explicitly or inexplicitly.
Comment: The state has strict regulations and requirements on the transactions and operations of state-certified digital navigation map providers.
