| |
NaviForum Shanghai 2007, lasting two and a half days, successfully closed on December 7. During the six tracks presented in the event, namely In-Vehicle Navigation, Portable Navigation, Traffic Info, New Positioning System, Telematics, and Digital Navigation Map, 71 elite speakers from across the world share their industry insights with all the 705 participants. With the overall internationalization proportion hitting 29%, NaviForum Shanghai is the largest and most influential navigation and telematics event organized by the China government.
Comment: During NaviForum this year, China government officials detail the status of the Compass (Bei Dou) Satellite Navigation System and the CAPS system. It’s the first time China government has, on a Chinese-held international conference, talked about construction of the Chinese satellite navigation systems, which are certain to become global ones in the future.
