> Industrial News > News   TD-SCDMA Mobile TV Standard Enters Notice Period   The formulation of TD-MBMS, the TD-SCDMA mobile TV standard, has been completed and the TD-MBMS standard has entered into the notice period. If no major counterview is proposed within the notice period, the Science and Technology Department, Ministry of Information Industry (MII) will release TD-MBMS as the standard for the communication industry. The aim of formulating the TD-MBMS standard is to support mobile TV services during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Nevertheless, the CMMB standard, also focusing on the mobile TV market during the Beijing Olympics and promoted by the State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT), has already started the process of industrialization and land enclosure.
