Malata Premieres Connected PND-UMPC Unit Announced
 
The newest GPS navigation device from Chinese PND-maker Malata, the PC-77002, straddles the line between PND and ultra mobile PC (UMPC). With an ultrathin 7-inch digital LCD touch screen, the device features GPS functions and Internet connectivity. Other features of the device include Intel PXA270 520MHz CPU, 2G Nand flash, and WiFi module. The device supports the 802.11 protocol and adopts the state-of-art GPS module and thus features accurate positioning, high-sensitivity, and quick satellite searching. The map data with abundant POI information covers 337 administrative areas (except Taiwan) at or above prefecture level across China.
