> Industrial News > News   ITS China Founded   ITS China, a Chinese society about ITS, was founded yesterday in Beijing. The society was initiated by six Chinese government institutions, namely the Ministry of Science of Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Railways, and Civil Aviation Administration of China. Mr. Zhongze Wu has been elected first Chairman of ITS China. ITS China aims at promoting the ITS development in China so as to improve safety, orderliness, and sustainable development of transport, Wu said, ITS China is mainly committed to providing a communication platform for governments and the industry, regulating the market, promoting ITS technology and industrialization development, and constructing a bridge for communication and cooperation between China and the world. Comment: National ITS societies have already been set up in Japan, Europe and the United States where ITS is well developed. ITS societies not only complement the government management but also incorporate the force and ability of companies, scientific research institutions, and intermediate organizations to make them co-develop new technologies.
