| |
Panasonic Corporation launched its latest car navigation system “Strada F-Class” on Wednesday. The system gives drivers the power and the convenience to operate home-based devices from remote location as long as they have a special cellular Internet connection. Besides GPS positioning, infotainment and all other automotive navigation functions, the system allows drivers to turn on lights, switch on the home airconditioning and lock doors all while stuck in traffic. Panasonic spokesman says Strada F-Class is the world’s first navigation system that fulfills connection between vehicles and home wireless networks. These systems are set to go on sale in Japan on June 13 at retail price of US $3,380. There are no plans to sell them overseas.
Comment: From Panasonic Strada F-Class we can see that the combination of communication and navigation becomes more and more popularized and is approaching the common life. With such navigation device to interact with the external world, our lives both inside and outside cars will be more convenient.
