> Industrial News > News   Harman Becker Secures Long Term Contract with Navteq   Harman International today announced it has extended its preferred relationship with digital map maker NAVTEQ. The two companies have signed an agreement that secures Harman/Becker, Harman International's automotive division, worldwide access to NAVTEQ data through 2015. Through this agreement, Harman and Navteq have identified special areas of collaboration. On the technical side they have expanded their technical cooperation “with an emphasis on leveraging connected capabilities and automotive integration to deliver fresher map data”. On the content side they expect an acceleration of “content introduction including integration of NAVTEQ's dynamic content portfolio to maximize the full capability of Harman/Becker's next generation infotainment systems”.
