PND sales increased rapidly in 2007 to 824,700 units, with the annual growth rate of 101.1%. In terms of map install base on PND, AutoNavi ranks first with 25.5% market share, followed by Careland and NavInfo. Analysys predicts that the PND market will be reshuffled after 2009 and some small and medium PND brands will withdraw from market gradually. Comment: Although the China PND market develops fast, it is not as fast as expected. Some small brands quickly emerge and then quickly disappear. Like the PND market, map providers will also encounter reshuffle in the next year. According to the world-known research firm TRG, AutoNavi and NavInfo also rank first and second respectively in the China OEM market, and NavInfo has occupied nearly 20% market share.
