| Worldwide Smartphone Sales Reach 32.2 Million Units |

Worldwide smartphone sales totaled 32.2 million units, 11% of total mobile phone sales across the globe and a 29% increase over the first quarter in 2007, according to Gartner, Inc. Nokia takes 45% market share in the global smartphone market and ranks the first place. Its smartphone sales increased 25% over the same period in 2007. The world’s second largest smartphone manufacturer RIM takes 13.4% market share in the global smartphone market, followed by Apple which takes 5.3% market share.
