> Industrial News > News   AutoNavi Promotes First Olympic Real-time Traffic Map for Sina   Before the Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony, Sina officially launched the “real-time Olympic traffic” service, under the cooperation with MapABC, the fully owned subsidiary of AutoNavi, in order to ensure the smooth flow of traffic during the Olympic Games. A click on “Traffic” from the Sina Olympics Homepage can present maps about all the Olympic stadiums in the seven Olympic cities, namely Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Qinhuangdao, Qingdao, Shenyang and Hongkong. Other available functions include driving route, bus transfer, positioning and search for all the Olympic stadiums, Olympic licensed stores, scenic spots and hotels, as well as the transport guidance and traffic control notices. The Olympic real-time traffic map also provides real-time traffic information updated every two minutes for Beijing and Shanghai. It is the best real-time traffic map in service in China. Comment: The win-win combination between Sina, the largest portal website in China, and AutoNavi, the biggest digital map provider in China, brings much convenience about information query and tour guidance for Olympic audiences and tourists over the Olympic Games. AutoNavi not only provides real-time traffic information for Audi, the official premium automobile provider for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, it will also cooperate with international famous PND brands to introduce traffic information enabled products during the Beijing Olympics.
