Ritu Wins Lawsuit over IP Infringement

Last Thursday, digital map provider Shenzhen Careland Information System Co., Ltd. (Careland) was ordered by Beijing NO.1 Intermediate People’s Court to pay 500,000 RMB in compensation to Ritu Information Systems for copyright infringement, bringing to an end “China’s No. 1 case on digital navigation map.” Careland’s plagiarism has infringed the intellectual property rights of Ritu’s Cn-Map and must publish a public apology on China Surveying and Mapping News. The dealer Beijing Zhongwei Hengye Trading Center is ordered to immediately stop selling the IP infringed product and take relative responsibility for infringement.
