The booming navigation industry in China has attracted the attention not only from the international navigation giants but also from the international consulting firms. Frost & Sullivan ― one of the biggest professional telecom consulting firm in the world, SBD ― the top global consulting firm focusing on the design and development of automotive components and systems, and Canalys ― a famous high-tech industry research corporation, will attend NaviForum this year, according to the Organizing Committee of NaviForum Shanghai 2007. Frost & Sullivan and SBD have already entered into a contract to be knowledge partners of NaviForum this year. During the forum, SBD will discuss with other guests about the first authoritative in-depth research report in the world on the Chinese navigation and telematics market it published recently. A senior analyst from Canalys will deliver a speech titled “Mapping out Mobile Navigation” at NaviForum this year. He will predict the future of the global portable navigation market, analyze the distinctness of regional market competition around the world, comment on the acquisitions in the portable navigation market, and give professional suggestions for software and hardware producers in the Asia-Pacific area.
It is reported that NaviForum ― as the most influential navigation & telematics forum of the largest scale in China, has become an important platform where international manufacturers exchange opinions about navigation and promote Chinese navigation industry development since NaviForum was first held in 2004. The cooperation between the three top consulting firms and NaviForum indicates further development of NaviForum’s influence in the world. NaviForum Shanghai 2007 will be held from Dec. 5th-7th, where the partners or sponsors will include China Mobile, Siemens VDO, Mio, Continental, Shinco, Alpine, Aisin AW, Microsoft, UBLOX, and other famous international navigation providers in the fields of automobile, software, hardware, chip, and map.
NaviForum this year will be more distinctive than ever. Besides presentations given by the experts of the industry, the panel discussions, project release and product exhibition, NaviForum this year will open up a new activity ― NaviForum 2007 Product of China Award, with the special support of Society of Automotive Engineers of China and IT168. The organizing committee will also set up “F2F with Experts” so that the attendees can make direct exchanges with navigation experts.
